The postseason begins for the UIS volleyball team this week as it looks to make a strong push in the GLVC Tournament. Women's basketball has a split week, with an exhibition against Marquette and a regular-season matchup at Union. Meanwhile, men's basketball is off this week, preparing for next week's DoubleTree Thanksgiving Classic, hosted by Drury in Springfield, Mo.

Monday, Nov. 18
11 a.m. - Women's Basketball at Marquette (Exhibition)
UIS women's basketball (0-3) heads to Milwaukee, Wis., for an exhibition matchup against the Marquette Golden Eagles (0-2). The Prairie Stars are looking to build off their early season performances, with Diavian Mehundrew leading the offense at 14.7 points per game. Emari Doby and Kayla Rice are also contributing in double figures. This will be the first-ever meeting between UIS and Marquette, though the exhibition will not count toward the team's official record.

Friday, Nov. 22
2:30 p.m. - Volleyball vs. Rockhurst (GLVC Tournament)
The Prairie Stars are set to face the Rockhurst Hawks in the GLVC Tournament, marking their return to postseason play after missing the tournament last year. Rockhurst won the regular season meeting 3-0 in Kansas City, but UIS enters the tournament on a strong run, having won four of its last five matches. The tournament is being held at nearby Williamsville High School Fieldhouse, with four quarterfinal matchups kicking off the action at 11:30 a.m.

Saturday, Nov. 23
2:00 PM - Women's Basketball at Union (Tenn.)
Women's Basketball (0-3) travels to Jackson, Tenn. to take on the Union Bulldogs (3-1) in a regular season game. The Prairie Stars and the Bulldogs will be meeting for the first time. Union is a DII opponent out of the Gulf South Conference (GSC).

2:30 or 5:30 p.m. - Volleyball, Semifinal Matchups at GLVC Tournament
Depending on the outcome of Friday's quarterfinals, UIS could play in one of the two semifinal matchups at 2:30 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, with an opportunity to advance to Sunday's championship match.

Sunday, Nov. 24
12 p.m. - Volleyball, GLVC Championship Match
The championship match at the GLVC Volleyball Tournament is set for 12 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24. Should UIS advance past Saturday's semifinals, the Prairie Stars will have the chance to compete for the tournament title and an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Looking Ahead
The next home event for the Prairie Stars will be the conference opener for both the women's and men's basketball teams. UIS will host Missouri-St. Louis in a doubleheader on Saturday, Nov. 30.
