The UIS volleyball team concluded its 2024 season with a loss to Rockhurst in the GLVC Tournament Quarterfinals on Friday. The fifth-seeded Prairie Stars (18-10) were unable to overcome the fourth-seeded Hawks (20-6) as they fell in straight sets.

- The first set proved challenging for UIS, as the Prairie Stars struggled offensively, hitting -.049 with 11 attack errors. Despite a strong defensive effort, UIS could not find rhythm against Rockhurst's steady attack and fell 25-15
- In the second set, the Prairie Stars battled hard and improved their hitting percentage to .161, keeping the score close early. However, Rockhurst's efficient offense, which hit .379 in the set, proved too much for UIS to handle, and the Hawks pulled away for a 25-18 set win
- The third set started with promise for UIS, as the teams traded points to a 6-6 tie. However, a five-point run by Rockhurst gave the Hawks the edge they needed. UIS could not recover from the deficit, and Rockhurst closed out the match with a 25-17 victory
- Senior Eirini Glynou led UIS with 11 kills and 12 digs. Redshirt freshman Makenna Cox added seven kills, nine digs, and a service ace, while junior setter Erica Sledge tallied 25 assists and two blocks. Kendall Johnson led the team at the net with three blocks
