The Illinois Springfield women's basketball team is set for a pair of GLVC road games this week, first facing Southwest Baptist in Bolivar, Mo., on Thursday before heading to Kansas City to play Rockhurst on Saturday afternoon.

Illinois Springfield (3-12, 2-5 GLVC)
The Prairie Stars split a pair of games at TRAC this past weekend, starting with a win that extended their three-game winning streak before falling to Quincy on Saturday.

UIS took off to an early lead against Truman State, fueled by Kayla Rice. Truman State then put up a strong second quarter for a two-point halftime lead. UIS regained control in the third quarter with a six-point run by Niyah Udoiwod and never looked back. The UIS defense dominated the second half, holding Truman State to just 2-of-14 shooting in the third quarter. Truman State tried to rally in the fourth quarter, but UIS outscored them 19-7, extending its lead to over 20 points by the end of the game.

Against Quincy, UIS kept the first half close with several lead changes but struggled to maintain momentum after halftime. Quincy's quick scoring run at the start of the third quarter gave them the lead, and UIS was unable to mount a comeback.

Kayla Rice continues to be a standout for UIS, leading the team with 16.9 points per game. She also leads the GLVC in three-pointers per game (2.9) and total steals (49), averaging 3.3 steals per game.

Tori Hamilton added 10 points and six rebounds, inching closer to SBU's all-time block record with her 102nd career block.

SBU dominated Lincoln on Saturday, starting strong with a 25-10 first quarter and finishing with a 77-52 win. Amber Storr scored 18 points, while Tori Hamilton nearly had a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds. Khylee Massey added a season-high 11 points. The Bearcats controlled the paint, outscoring Lincoln 36-14.

Tori Hamilton is averaging 12.7 points per game on 55.5% shooting, while Amber Storr leads with 13.2 points per game, shooting 37% from three.

Rockhurst (4-9, 2-5 GLVC)
Rockhurst dropped a pair of games last weekend, beginning with a 78-54 loss to Maryville on Thursday. After a back-and-forth first half that ended in a 32-all tie, the Saints surged in the second half, shooting 57.6% and outscoring the Hawks 46-22 to secure the win. Chloe Frank led the Hawks with nine points, four assists, and two blocks, while Akili Felicit added seven points and three rebounds.
