UIS sponsors an annual Outstanding Master’s Thesis/Project Award program.

UIS also assists graduate students with applying to Nationally Competitive Scholarships.

• English Language Arts Teacher Educators (ELATE) Graduate Student Research Award
  • ELATE Graduate Student Research Award Application Deadline – August 8, 2024
  • The ELATE Graduate Student Research Award provides a maximum of $2,500 to support a specific research project conducted by a graduate student; in addition, $500 is provided to support travel to the NCTE Convention to present that research.
  • Sponsored by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE)
• Columbus State University (GA) sponsors a Graduate and Faculty Research Conference.
