Bio: Ebrima is a renowned career civil servant and educationist at the University of The Gambia. He currently serves as an Accountant at the University of The Gambia. In this role, Ebrima is entrusted with handling main accounting tasks (Preparation of financial statements, Bank reconciliation and necessary adjustments), the preparation of monthly staff payroll (salary/tax and social security payment), overseeing the yearly update of the non-current asset register/schedule, coordinate annual budget preparation, recording financial transactions on SAGE Accounting Software and Sub-ledger task (Payment’s handling, Invoicing, cash handling).
Ebrima also doubled as an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of The Gambia, lecturing students pursuing a Diploma and Advance Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management. During this period, he lectured on Managing Financial Resources and Business Operations in Hospitality Management.
Furthermore, as an ardent believer in education, he has served as a Part-Time Lecturer at Business Training Centre in The Gambia for over three years. In this position, Ebrima lectured students pursuing certificates, diplomas, and advanced diplomas at the Institute of Commercial Management (ICM). He taught courses in accounting & finance, such as Bookkeeping, Financial Management, Auditing and Taxation, Cost and Management, Quantitative Methods, Economics, and Numeracy and Statistics.
Finally, Ebrima served as Vice Chairperson and Financial Adviser to Alhaji Mamour Secca Memorial Lower and Junior School Board members.
