Contest Theme
Original artwork (no photography, religious themes or stock images) should reflect the following themes:
- University life at UIS
- Winter on campus
Who May Enter
Any UIS student from any major or discipline can enter the contest. Multiple entries (max of 2) from the same artist are acceptable. Submissions without entry form will not be considered.
How to Enter
Entries will be accepted until Friday, October 20, 2023. Artwork must be submitted electronically with completed entry form.
Design Specifications
- Artwork should fit envelope card dimensions of 6” wide x 4.25” high (with an A6 envelope).
- Acceptable file types: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, high resolution print-ready PDF
- All artwork needs to be full size at 200 dpi for best quality print resolution.
- Maximum upload file size is 15 mb.
Artwork files may be edited to reflect the final language, messaging and University brand standards. UIS also reserves the right to alter the submitted artwork to ensure it meets accessibility guidelines and other parameters.
Reproduction Rights
UIS will retain all reproduction rights to submitted artwork with credit given to the artist. UIS agrees not to sell any of the artwork or any reproduction of the artwork. Artists warrant that they are the sole proprietor of the artwork and agree to assign all copyright and other intellectual property rights in the artwork to UIS. Entries must be original work and must not infringe on the protected rights of other artists or violate any copyright laws.
Judging
All entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges selected by the Office of the Chancellor. Artwork will be judged on creativity, artistic expression and how it applies to the contest theme. The winner will be notified by email on or before Monday, November 6, 2023.
