Emma West, Candidate for President

As the President, I will uphold the expectations and procedures of the Student Government Association and the student body here at UIS. After serving a year as the Liberal Arts and Social Sciences Senator along with the General Education Committee and the Student Disciplinary Committee, I learned the significance and magnitude of student leaders. We need more representatives who fulfill the needs of the students and communicate thoroughly. As a student who has experienced several obstacles and adversities on this campus, I will assist students with the same difficulties, no matter how challenging. My three primary motives for the upcoming school year are promoting and acting on behalf of inclusivity, collaboration, and progress. I am committed to helping both the student body and the school administration excel here at the University of Illinois at Springfield.
