MLS Undergraduate Program Applicants

Students interested in applying to an MLS undergraduate program must first apply and be admitted to UIS. After admission to UIS, undergraduate students must submit a secondary application to the MLS Program to be considered for admission to an MLS student cohort. The MLS Program admits new undergraduate students in fall semesters. The MLS secondary application for our incoming Fall 2025 undergraduate student cohort will be available and posted here in Spring 2025.

Undergraduate students should complete or be on track to complete all Pre-Professional Phase coursework before submitting the MLS secondary application. Program requirements can be found in the UIS Course Catalog.

Undergraduate MLS students should consult with the MLS Academic Advisor and/or MLS Faculty Advisor for Pre-Professional Phase students as soon as possible to ensure they are on track to complete all requirements prior to the start of the Professional Phase. Contact information for MLS Advisors is available on the MLS Contact Us page.
