WHAT: University of Illinois Springfield Chancellor Janet L. Gooch will host the first event in her new Thinkers Series, titled “A Call to Think: Engaged Citizenship.”

WHERE: Brookens Auditorium, on the lower level of Brookens Library at UIS

DETAILS: Chancellor Gooch will be joined by Steven D. Schwinn, professor at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Law, for an engaging discussion on the importance of engaged citizenship.

The Chancellor’s Thinkers Series is designed to inspire diverse perspectives and encourage intentional thinking. Each session will feature a “featured thinker” from a variety of disciplines who will engage in meaningful dialogue with Chancellor Gooch on topics tied to their expertise.

This event is free and open to both the UIS community and the public.
