Dear Faculty and Staff:
I have exciting news regarding the university’s ongoing efforts to best support our students’ success. Through a new statewide partnership, UIS students will now receive free access to Kaplan’s industry-leading test prep resources for graduate admissions, licensure and credentialing exams and skills development courses.
This new program, “Prepare for Illinois' Future Powered by Kaplan's All Access LicenseTM,” is administered by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC). These educational tools augment our existing resources and help prepare students to take the next step in their career journey. This program will provide our students with free access to 40+ courses, equipping them to take required exams such as the GRE®, GMAT®, MCAT®, LSAT® and many more.
Highlights of the Program:
- What test prep courses are included?
- The course options available will vary depending on the degree level. See the complete list of courses offered on Kaplan's website.
- How much does it cost students to participate?
- Nothing—all course offerings and resources are free to students!
- When can students access these test prep courses?
- The portal to enroll and begin courses is available today, Feb. 18. Students can enroll whenever they are ready.
- Where should I direct students to learn more?
- By visiting Kaplan's website, students will be directed with further information about these courses and how to sign up through the UIS portal. Students must sign up using their UIS email address to access the free tools.
Additional communications are planned to spread the word across the university in the coming weeks. We appreciate your collaboration in ensuring students are aware of these new resources.
