Barbara Crankson loves the small campus community and the supportive professors at the University of Illinois Springfield. Crankson volunteers with the UIS Volunteer and Civic Engagement Center, is a member of the American Red Cross Society and works as a graduate assistant for the School of Public Management and Policy. She chose UIS because it offers a welcoming community and inspiring campus life. After graduation, Crankson plans to become involved in women and child advocacy through nonprofit organizations.
