Springfest 2025 is just around the corner, and we need judges to help make this long-standing UIS tradition a success! Running from April 21st–26th, Springfest brings together students, faculty, staff, and alumni for a week of friendly competition and campus spirit.
Judges play a key role in scoring competitions, ensuring fair play, and keeping the excitement going. Sign-ups are open now through April 15th—we welcome faculty, staff, students, and alumni to participate!
Please see below a description of the various roles a judge will play at each of the events throughout Springfest:
- Monday, Scavenger Hunt: Judges will be stationed at various locations to support specific missions, verify task completion, and ensure teams follow the rules.
- Tuesday, Trivia Night: Judges will either score trivia sheets or monitor the room to ensure fair play.
- Wednesday, Flag: Judges will evaluate and assign scores to each team’s submitted flag based on predetermined criteria.
- Wednesday, Chant: Judges will observe and score the performances of team chants based on creativity, execution, and enthusiasm.
- Friday, Short Sports: Judges will officiate and score teams across various short sports, ensuring fair play and adherence to rules.
- Friday, Long Sports: Judges will officiate and score teams in longer-duration sports, enforcing rules and maintaining fair competition.
Score sheets, directions and support will be provided to judges at every event. We are in need of Judges for Friday and Saturday Sports Day!
