The COVID-19 pandemic has changed how most people live, work and learn. But NPR Illinois | 91.9 WUIS, which broadcasts from a studio on UIS’ campus, could not let the myriad of changes the worldwide pandemic brought effect their work. Their reporting has become more vital than ever. NPR Illinois continues to cover the pandemic and other important stories while looking for new ways to engage its audience. That includes the soon-to-debut “Community Voices,” a feature-oriented program where NPR reporters interview a variety of Central Illinois residents to find out how they are doing amid the pandemic.
