The Department of Counseling and Social Work (CSW) is proud to have degree programs that focus on developing skills that translate into clinical fields. CSW faculty develop close relationships with the students to foster their development as a helping professional. We care deeply about the wellbeing of our students and are committed to their growth and learning. Additionally, we foster an environment of inclusivity, welcome diversity, and encourage social change to address the inequities that are prevalent in our society.
All programs in the department are fully accredited to ensure students qualify for appropriate certification or licensure upon graduation. Both the Bachelor's in Social Work (BSW) and Master's in Counseling (Clinical Mental Health, School, and Marriage, Couple, and Family) include a field experience that prepares students to enter the field upon graduation. When students graduate from our programs, they are hired on as helping professionals in their respective fields.
