A minor in Communication Studies provides students with a general background in communication theory and technology through an Introduction to Interpersonal and Organizational Communication and Mass Media.
There are no prerequisites for entry into the Communications minor. Students are advised to take a basic core course (COM 302 or COM 303) before or concurrent with other courses. Communication minors may not take any COM course as part of the requirements for the minor on a CR/NC basis.
"Approaching communication and media from an ethical and global perspective is a top priority for our program. Understanding these practices provides a foundation for learning, and for effective communicative engagement in an increasing global environment."
~Ann E Strahle
