Nana Rubio enjoys the campus events at the University of Illinois Springfield. “There are always events going on to encourage students to be more involved on campus,” she said. Rubio is the Necessary Steps Mentoring Peer advisor, marketing chair for Gamma Phi Omega International Sorority, Inc. and a member of the Greek Affairs Board. Rubio chose UIS because of the community and location. Following graduation, she plans to pursue a career as a financial manager.
