Jazel Ware-Grant has found a supportive community that promotes involvement at the University of Illinois Springfield. She is a member of the Capital Scholars Honors Program, president of the Black Student Union, an orientation leader and a student worker for the Volunteer and Civic Engagement Center. She chose UIS for its smaller class sizes, which foster a close-knit academic environment. Following graduation, she plans to attend law school or pursue a master’s degree.
