Through love, hate, and indifference, generative AI is here to stay. But that doesn't mean that using these tools effectively means leaving our humanity behind. Join Dr. Kate Herald Browne for a session on practical strategies to harness the power of instructor presence in tech-enabled courses. Whether you teach in-person, online, or somewhere in between, you can put humans first in course design, assessment, and instructor presence for truly transformative learning experiences.

Presenter: Dr. Kate Herald Browne teaches people how to tell stories that change the world for good. She uses her background in theatre history and autobiographical rhetoric to anchor her work in online learning design. As the Director of Online Learning and Instructional Technologies at Heartland Community College, Kate leads a team that supports the campus makerspace, VR program, digital media studios, and learning management system. She is also the curator of TEDxNormal, an annual event that empowers the local community to share their big ideas with the world.
