Future Plans: Work for a government agency or a nonprofit
Nolan Flaherty enjoys making an impact at the University of Illinois Springfield. He is a student government senator, works for the Center of State Policy and Leadership and recently helped to bring the Blue Crew, the UIS Athletics student fan section, back to life. He chose UIS because he wanted to earn a University of Illinois degree in the state capital and take advantage of internship opportunities. “UIS is also very affordable compared to other colleges, which helped a lot in my decision,” he said. Following graduation from UIS, he wants to work for a government agency or a nonprofit related to finance.
Leadership is lived at UIS. Every day.
