Teaching Strategies for Supporting Students' Mental Health
This session will address multiple teaching strategies for supporting students' mental health, including:
- A brief introduction to androgogies that support student mental health and wellness
- Support in the curriculum, including policies and syllabus items
- Teaching strategies, including weekly practices and opportunistic interventions
- Governance strategies, including ways to supportively engage in classroom management
- Auxiliary practices, including advising and office hours
- and Resources and Referral Strategies
Presenters will facilitate dialogue around these topics and attendees will feel empowered with practical strategies to implement in their classrooms.
