Holi 2025

Holi is a vibrant Hindu festival celebrated primarily in India, marking the arrival of spring and the victory of good over evil. Known as the “Festival of Colors,” it is observed on the full moon day (Purnima) of the Hindu month of Phalguna, typically in March.

The festival begins with Holika Dahan on the night before Holi, where bonfires are lit to symbolize the burning away of evil, referring to the legend of Prahlad and Holika. The next day, known as Rangwali Holi, people celebrate by throwing colored powders, dancing, and singing. It is a time of joy, unity, and the breaking of social barriers, as people of all ages and backgrounds come together.

Beyond its religious significance, Holi represents renewal, forgiveness, and the celebration of life.
