COLRS will present at 2:30 p.m. on "Quality Assurance Tools for Accessible Canvas Content."

This presentation aligns with the “supporting online faculty, students, and technologies” theme. We will cover strategies that our faculty support and instructional design unit is using to raise awareness of accessibility among instructors and to ensure and improve accessibility of course content for our students. We have found that during these consultations and meetings about improving mandated accessibility, we are able to improve overall course design and assessment practices as part of the conversation. Tools included in this presentation: Accessible syllabus template and distribution (HTML and word); Canvas rich text editor accessibility checker for composing pages; UDOIT Advantage content and document scanning; and working with our Digital Accessibility Remediation Team for video caption corrections and document remediation.
