UIS is once again offering a half-day Professional Development Retreat as part of our Rise initiative. This semester’s retreat will take place Friday, January 31, and is focused on Workplace Communication. All civil service, academic professional staff and faculty are welcome to attend to learn how to communicate with anyone in any circumstances in the workplace.

In response to our feedback last year, we will be hosting a morning and afternoon session so that those departments that need to be staffed at all times are able to attend. There will be two workshop sessions (six topics to choose from), a keynote speaker, and a box lunch. The keynote speaker and all workshops will be available in both the morning and afternoon sessions.
