Michael Jubiter, Candidate for Online Student Senator

As an Army veteran, I understand the importance of having integrity, a good work ethic, and humility. With that being said, I learned that leadership requires even more positive characteristics of a person to be competent and successful. According to Robert Greenleaf who coined the term “servant leadership” in his book titled The Servant as Leader, the components of servant leadership are accountability, authenticity, courage, empowerment, forgiveness, humility, standing back (letting others grow through learning), and stewardship. I am confident I possess all of the servant leadership traits named, along with those I learned in the Army. Furthermore, I utilize each of these traits as a realtor, investor, mentor, and government employee. I am also proud to say the components listed helped me achieve attaining my Doctor of Business Administration this upcoming May in another program I am finishing. I hope for the chance to implement my skills and abilities.
