The UIS Music program offers Individual Music Lessons for students at the beginning and intermediate/advanced levels. Students may register for MUS 141/341 Instrumental Lessons. Additional fees apply.
Students enrolled in Individual Music Lessons will meet with an applied music instructor once per week in a one-on-one setting. Individual Music Lessons are offered for one or two credits. Students registered for one credit hour will meet with the instructor for thirty minutes per week, while those registered for two credit hours will meet for one hour per week. In general, freshmen, sophomores, and beginning students will register for MUS 141, while juniors, seniors, and students who already have significant experience will register for MUS 341.
