Allison Hackett chose the University of Illinois Springfield because of the welcoming environment. “I instantly felt like I was at home when I stepped onto campus,” she said. “You will always see someone you know whenever you are walking on campus.” At UIS, she’s a member of the women’s soccer team and works at the Student Union. When she first visited UIS, she knew she wanted to be a part of the soccer team because of the “amazing team atmosphere.” Following graduation from UIS, Hackett hopes to work in the sports management field. “I hope to get a job in the team operations part of a team, hopefully with the St. Louis Blues hockey team or with the St. Louis City Soccer Club,” she said.
