Jayla Stubblefield enjoys the leadership opportunities offered at the University of Illinois Springfield. She is a special events coordinator for the Student Activities Committee, secretary of Black Women of Excellence, marketing coordinator for the Black Student Union and a member of Voices in Praise gospel choir. She chose UIS because of the Information Systems Security program, the proximity to home and the size of the school. “I felt I would get the best education possible, while also being able to make meaningful relationships and getting very involved in campus,” she said. Following graduation, she plans to work as a security analyst.
Leadership is lived at UIS. Every day.
