Jennifer Viramontes chose the University of Illinois Springfield because she says it “offers a world-class education at a fraction of the cost and has a beautiful campus.” At UIS, she is currently involved with the UIS Mock Trial team and Model United Nations. “I love the professors at UIS,” she said. “The professors I’ve had the opportunity to learn from are exceptionally competent and truly care about their students in and out of the classroom.” Following graduation from UIS, she has accepted an offer to attend the University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison. She plans to practice immigration law.
