Tasneem Shaik chose the University of Illinois Springfield because of the courses it offers, internship opportunities and great learning experiences. She works as a student employee at the Office of International Student Services and is vice president of the Indian Student Organization. As an international student, she says “one of the best things about UIS is we get a platform to explore the traditions of different countries through various events and activities conducted by student organizations.” Following graduation from UIS, she plans to “take up a challenging role in a reputed organization to utilize my skills for the growth of the organization as well as to enhance my knowledge about new and emerging trends in IT sector.”
