The graduate certificate in Business Process Management provides information systems practitioners with the fundamental knowledge needed to be able to successfully analyze, define and design organizational processes and to effectively apply information technology to these processes. This certificate is awarded upon completion of the required coursework.
The purpose of the graduate certificate in Business Analytics is to provide business and technology practitioners with the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to collaborate in the design, development and adoption of BA applications in organizations. The motivation for this certificate comes from the growing demand for qualified BA professionals as reported by major information technology and business research and advisory firms.
The UIS MBA is the only U of I on-campus MBA program in the heart of the state. The in-person format allows students to tap into local networking opportunities and forge strong relationships with colleagues and faculty through experiential learning. The program’s 8-week course format allows students to finish a degree in as little as one year, or longer if desired.
Business Administration students who choose the Human Resource Management option will develop the critical, conceptual and interpersonal skills that are essential to employment in management positions of organizations. Students will gain an understanding of all aspects of talent management, including job analysis and design, workforce planning and staffing, compensation and benefits, performance management, career planning and training and employee and organizational development.
Business students who choose the Sport Management option build upon strong business core requirements to pursue specialty coursework in sport management and apply those business principles to the sport industry.
