Agency Services
The Office of Electronic media can provide your agency or organization with professional video content that can save your organization time and money. OEM offers a wide range of services that are designed specifically for promotions, training programs, and informational programs.
Promotions
OEM can produce and edit content designed to provide outreach to your community. We produce and edit short-form videos designed for your website or social media outlets, as well as long-form videos crafted for educational programs.
Training Programs
Every organization needs to provide training to its employees and volunteers. Trainings produced on video provide a quick, simple and direct training experience that is engaging and easy for groups to understand. OEM operates a fully equipped studio ideal for production of presentations, panels, interviews, and other training events.
Informational Programs
OEM provides recording and live webcast services for organizational meetings and conferences, allowing world-wide access to your organization’s events and functions. The office is capable of recording meetings on-location or in-studio.
University Services
The UIS Office of Electronic Media serves the University community by providing live cable and webcasts of University events, media duplication and authoring, Web page/site design and maintenance, and assisting faculty and staff with classroom content that supports scholarly activities. OEM also produces marketing materials for UIS Departments and Programs.
UIS Athletics
Throughout the sports season, OEM provides live broadcasts of UIS Prairie Stars Basketball, Volleyball, & Soccer. Live games are broadcast on UIS Campus Channel and webcast on uisprairiestars.com. Broadcasts feature Instant Replay and live play-by-play from UIS Students.
Student Government Association
Broadcasts of SGA meetings are shown on UIS Campus Channel or watched on Video On Demand.
UIS Concerts
Music events, such as the UIS Music Fall Showcase, that are held during the year on campus are broadcast live on campus channel and are recorded for media distribution.
ECCE Speaker Series
The Engaged Citizenship Common Experience Speakers Series is a one-hour course that is part of the Engaged Citizenship Common Experience (ECCE) curriculum, the distinctive set of courses taken by undergraduates at UIS to foster the appreciation for and practice of diversity and the active effort to make a difference in the world. Lectures are taped by OEM and offered online for free viewing for Students and Faculty on the ECCE VOD page.
Lincoln Legacy
The Annual Lincoln Legacy Lecture Series is recorded by Electronic Media and broadcast on campus channel and live webcast. The Lectures are presented by the UIS Center for State Policy and Leadership, featuring distinguished scholars and experts discussing the life of Abraham Lincoln and the impact of his legacy on modern times. Previous lectures are available for free viewing on the UIS Video On Demand service.
