The website has been developed to send multiple types of notifications:

  • Content moderation notifications - if you are an editor and submit your page for needs review, once it is published, you will receive an email notification. This is an automated email. If there are any issues with your cotent or updates, you may receive a separate notification from the Office of Web & Digital Strategy.
  • Orbit Notifications - if you submit an article to be published on the Orbit website, you will receive notification if it has bee published or rejected.
  • Policy Notifications - if you have not updated or reviewed your policy within the past 3 years, the author or unit email on the policy will receive a weekly email reminder to review and update.
  • Compliance Notifications - pages have the option to flag them as a compliance page and set a date and unit email, which will then send a yearly notification to review and update the page for compliance purposes. The date field has to manually updated each year since this date is different for many requirements.
  • News Subscriptions - subscribe to news from your favorite departments and get notifications when new articles are published.
