Parking
All visitors must park in visitor-designated lots and pay the visitor parking rate of $1 per hour using the nearest parking pay station. Pay stations accept coins and credit/debit cards only – NO bills! You must know your license plate number when using the pay stations.
Designated visitor lots with pay stations closest to the Sangamon Experience are lot C North and lot D. Lot B is also a designated visitor lot but is farther away from the building. Please note that failure to pay the parking fee may result in a ticket issued by UIS Parking Operations.

UIS Archives
Hours
Archives/Special Collections is open Monday-Friday, 9 am-1 pm, except for holidays and the December break. The archives are located on Level One of Brookens Library, Room 144, adjacent to the ITS Media Lab. To request an appointment, patrons must contact a staff member at 217-206-6520 or email questions@uis.libanswers.com.

The University of Illinois at Springfield Archives preserves extensive primary source holdings to study significant historical records of Sangamon State University (1969-1995) and the University of Illinois at Springfield and regional history records and manuscripts whose research strengths support the University's educational mission.
