PNC is the official student banking provider of the University of Illinois

PNC Bank, N.A., a member of The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. (NYSE: PNC) and the University of Illinois announced that PNC is the official student banking provider of the University of Illinois.  Under the new agreement, PNC will provide student banking, as well as financial literacy programs, for more than 79,000 students at the three main University of Illinois campuses located in Urbana-Champaign, Chicago, and Springfield, IL.

  • On-site workshops on personal financial management and financial literacy. Topics include basic banking, credit management, savings and investing, identity protection and home buying.
  • Virtual Wallet® Student accounts for students. The account is equipped with technology to help students monitor spending, view account balances and safeguard customers against financial mistakes and unnecessary fees.
  • The capability for PNC account holders, who are students of the University of Illinois, to link their account to their i-cards, which can then be used to conveniently access cash at all PNC ATMs and for purchases wherever PIN-based debit is accepted.
  • A co-branded website, www.pnc.com/ui, where students can complete account applications, manage their finances and find financial and educational information.
