Guatemala Summer 2025 Short-Term Study Away Program

UIS is offering a short-term faculty-led study away opportunity in Guatemala for Summer 2025. In collaboration with ImagininGuatemala, students will help construct homes for families in need. MUST have passport to attend. LIMITED SPOTS REMAINING.

ImagininGuatemala, with the support of dedicated service team volunteers, constructs homes for families in need. Many of these families currently live in makeshift shelters made from cornstalks, scraps of wood, metal, or cardboard. They often cook their meals in the same room where they sleep, and their floors are made of dirt. Understanding the insecurity and health risks these conditions present, ImagininGuatemala collaborates with various organizations to build safe homes and provide proper cooking facilities for these families.
