Communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management are all examples of soft skills that are hard to measure but have a significant impact in the workplace.

Fall Open Studio Session - October 10

The Office of Strategic Communications will be hosting two Open Photo Studio sessions for Fall 2024 for all staff or faculty. The photos can be used for university purposes such as department websites, campus directory, speaking engagements at conferences, etc. Any staff or faculty member who either hasn’t had their portrait taken or would like another, more recent, portrait taken is encouraged to attend.

CSAC Meeting - Wednesday, Oct. 2

The next Civil Service Advisory Council meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 2, at 10 a.m. via Zoom. All civil service employees are welcome to attend.

There will be an open comment period at the end of the meeting for anyone who would like to participate. If you wish to participate in the open comment period, please email CSAC@uis.edu with the anticipated subject matter by Tuesday, October 1.
