The UIS men's track and field team is set to compete at Bellarmine's Jim Vargo Invitational in Louisville this weekend, with events kicking off at 4:15 p.m. Central on Friday and continuing at 11:00 a.m. Central on Saturday.

The competition will begin Friday with Aidan Donohue, Isaac Cortes, and Gabe Martinez in the invitational heats of the 1500 meters. Following those, the invitational heats of the 5,000 meters and the only heat of the 10,000 meters will showcase a significant portion of the UIS roster.

UIS Baseball Heads to Upper Iowa for Four-Game GLVC Series
The UIS baseball team travels to Fayette, Iowa, this week for a four-game GLVC series against Upper Iowa, featuring two of the GLVC's top-performing teams as of late. Both squads have reached 10 GLVC wins this season and will face off at Robertson Woods Field, beginning with a single game on Friday at 2:00 p.m., a doubleheader on Saturday at 1:00 p.m., and concluding with the series finale on Sunday at noon.

UIS Softball Schedule Adjusted for McKendree Series
Due to inclement weather, the UIS softball schedule has been adjusted for the upcoming week. The Prairie Stars' doubleheader against McKendree, originally scheduled for Saturday, April 5, will now be played on Monday, April 7, at 2:00 and 4:00 p.m.
Sunday's games against Maryville remain on schedule at this time.

Elaine Grant Named GLVC Women’s Golf Player of the Week After Win at Flyers Spring Invitational
Elaine Grant has been named the GLVC Women's Golf Player of the Week after earning her first collegiate victory at the Flyers Spring Invitational. Grant led the Prairie Stars with rounds of 73 and 74, finishing with a total score of 147 (+3) to claim the individual title.
Her steady play was crucial to UIS placing sixth as a team. In the opening round, she recorded 15 pars and a birdie for a 73 (+1), followed by a consistent final round with 16 pars to post a 74 (+2).
