Former Governors Jim Edgar and Pat Quinn meet with FY2022 ILSIP Cohort during their seminar. Former Governor Edgar is a former ILSIP intern, a member of the FY1969 cohort and inducted into the Samuel K. Gove Hall of Fame in 1990.

Hello, I am Dr Magic Wade, an Associate Professor of Political Science at the UIS School of Politics and International Affairs. I joined the faculty at UIS in 2015. Prior to this, I attended the University of Minnesota to earn my PhD in 2015 and taught as an adjunct instructor at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington.

When one thinks of enrolling in a graduate degree program, they most likely don’t picture themselves getting involved in extracurricular activities. It’s a common perception that graduate students attend evening classes, work either full or part time, possibly have a family to care for, are generally detached from the campus community, or only visit campus to attend classes.

Hello, I’m Yu-Sheng Lee, an Assistant Professor of Public Health at the College of Public Affairs and Administration. Before proudly joining the community of UIS in 2021, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Memphis, Tennessee, where I obtained my Ph.D. in Epidemiology.
