It is the start of another great fall semester. Many new employees are working at the University and being given access to different Webtools. We want to help make learning Webtools as easy as possible by providing links to our Training Videos. It has been a busy summer in our classrooms - we have successfully converted 34 classrooms to be hyflex! Our classroom technology refresh project has also involved installing annotating monitors, second monitors, bring-your-own-device capabilities, document cameras, and easy-to-use control units to manage the technology.
We are inviting all faculty who haven't yet seen the upgraded classrooms to join us Tuesday, August 22 at 11:30am in UHB 1007 for a tour!
UIS Professional Development Retreat | Sept. 15 | Register by Aug. 31!
In response to faculty and staff feedback, UIS is offering a Professional Development Retreat next month for Civil Service/Academic Professional staff and Faculty. A multidisciplinary team of UIS colleagues has developed an exciting half-day retreat focused on Workplace Wellness.
Formerly referred to as our faculty convocation, this event is a renewed all-employee assembly intended to kick off the new academic year together! Join us from 3-5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023, in the Student Union Ballroom to hear briefly from Chancellor Gooch and each vice chancellor about our goals for this year, and we will share introductory information about our newest faculty colleagues and administrators. This event will be capped off with snacks and time to catch up with colleagues.
