Employee Development Series: Planning Events on Campus

We are excited to announce that our September session of the Employee Development Series will be Planning Events on Campus. Many events and activities are happening on our campus at any given time and there are important components to consider and procedures to follow leading up to a successful event. This session will cover a range of topics that will include but are not limited to: Reservation Processes/Procedures for Spaces on Campus, Facility Use Agreements, Timelines and Processes, Safety and Security at Events, and Risk Management.

In this month's newsletter, we talk about the next offering in the Employee Development Series. We also introduce a new onboarding system and talk about Salary Program Updates. We also discuss how to register for the Emiquon Nature Preserve event and Supervisor Development Day!

UIS is committed to protecting minors who visit campus so they can enjoy the wonderful events and programs our community offers. For departments that want to offer programs to minors (persons under the age of eighteen (18)), our Protection of Minors page has detailed information on planning and hosting an event for young visitors.

In August's HR newsletter, we talk about the next session in the Employee Development Series. We remind readers of the Protection of Minors policy, Remote Work Agreements, Employment Verification, and Workers' Compensation Reporting. We also talk about a couple of upcoming events!
