CSAC provides a communication link between Civil Service employees, the Director of Human Resources, the Chancellor, campus-wide, university-wide, and state-wide groups. All status (non-probationary) Civil Service employees are invited to submit online nomination forms for this year's Civil Service Advisory Council (CSAC) election.

Please join us for the June session of the Employee Development Series! This month will focus on Civil Service Testing and Rules: What You Should Know presented by Amber Fosdyck and Madison Vangunten. Topics will include classification information, requesting/editing a position, job audits, and the Civil Service testing process.

The UIS Office of Human Resources is working under a Division Liaison model where an HR staff member is assigned to each Division or College. Your Division Liaison can assist you with most of your Human Resources needs, including Civil Service, Extra Help, and Academic Professional employment. May Employee Development Series Event with AEO
The May session of the Employee Development Series will be from the Access & Equity Office (AEO) titled “What We Do and How We Support”. This session will be held in the Student Union Ballroom on May 26, 2026, from 9:00-10:00 a.m. This one-hour presentation by Jeff Moulton will include an overview of the role of AEO, non-discrimination issues, and reasonable accommodations. Registration is not required for this event.
UIS is committed to protecting minors that visit campus so they can enjoy the wonderful events and programs our community offers. For departments that want to offer programs to minors (persons under the age of eighteen (18)), our Protection of Minors page has detailed information on planning and hosting an event for young visitors.
