Employee Development Series: Student Employment Electronic Checklist Launch
Our April session will be the Student Employment Electronic Checklist Launch on April 28, 2026, from 9:00-11:00am in the Student Union Ballroom. Laptops are encouraged but not required for this interactive training.
April 1st is National Walking Day and Campus Recreation created an opportunity for our campus to get moving. We wish to invite our staff and faculty to participate! The 1-mile walk has been rescheduled and will begin at noon on 4/6 and will both start and end at the Colonnade while showcasing our beautiful campus along the walk. This is an event for students and all employees to attend as a campus community. Make sure to arrive early and sign up for the raffle before the walk begins!

Upcoming Events
Take Your Child to Work Day
Registration is still open for Take Your Child to Work Day on April 23, 2026! We have a full afternoon planned that includes a dorm tour, exercise science activity, E-sports, and more. We welcome up to 20 kids, aged 10-15 years old (7-9 years old with a parent present), to come and join us as we explore UIS.
As part of the university’s NorthStar strategic visioning initiative, the University is announcing a Voluntary Separation Plan (UIS-VSP) available for all employees who meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the plan including that they have satisfied the retirement age and service requirements under the State Universities Retirement System of Illinois (“SURS”) prior to August 15, 2026 and who have not provided a written notice of resignation or intent to retire from UIS prior to the Plan Effective Date.
