Good morning UIS,
I hope you had a restful holiday weekend and that you enjoyed a well-deserved chance to relax and recharge. It’s the perfect time to step back, reflect on the achievements of the past academic year and prepare for exciting opportunities ahead. As a reminder, this is my last bimonthly newsletter; you’ll only hear from me once in July and August, respectively.

Happy Monday—
We did it! We completed another successful academic year at UIS. Thank you to everyone who helped at or attended Commencement. It was amazing to see all the happy faces of graduates, their families and friends. To continue the celebratory atmosphere, I hope to see you in the Student Union Ballroom from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today for our End of Academic Year Party. Thank you to Human Resources for planning the festivities.

Happy Monday—
Springfest is one of our longest and most loved traditions, and it starts today! Festivities will kick off with a Scavenger Hunt tonight at 8 p.m. Later in the week, you can look forward to cheering on our students at Springfest Trivia, Flag and Chant and Mud Tug-of-War. Thanks to everyone who helped organize this special week and to employees who are volunteering as judges. It’s an exciting time for our students.
