Confidential Resources
The Counseling Center provides counseling, outreach and psychological consultation to UIS students. Services are offered to all enrolled students at UIS.
Prairie Center Against Sexual Assault
Prairie Center Against Sexual Assault (PCASA) supports survivors of sexual violence, promotes healing and prevention and creates social change throughout Central Illinois. We are dedicated to serving as a voice for compassion and justice for victims and a catalyst for social justice in eleven Illinois counties. Services include: Emergency room response, counseling, and legal assistance.
Working to stop dating/domestic violence, relationship abuse, and stalking. Services include: Court advocacy, individual and group counseling, children’s programs, and emergency shelter.
Health and Wellness Resources
UIS Health Services provides medical care to students on campus and can offer a variety of women’s health and sexual health services. These include: STD testing and treatment, birth control options, emergency contraception, and providing well woman exams and pap smears. These services are open to all UIS students both full and part-time whether or not they have student health insurance.
The Mission of Campus Recreation is to provide recreational and wellness opportunities to enrich the lives of our students and the UIS community. UIS has a variety of facilities and equipment, both indoor and outdoor, that provide opportunities for students, faculty and staff to foster health and wellness in their lives through physical activity.
