Study Away Application Study Abroad programs, also known as Global Experience programs, can be taken during any semester at UIS.  Students wishing to study abroad must complete a Global Experience Application with The Office of International Programs. The Office of International Programs will help guide the student through the pre-approval process and determine if the program can be used for educational credit at UIS. Once the program has been approved, the student may apply for financial assistance to assist with the cost of the program.
Peer-to-Peer File Sharing (HEOA Compliance Plan) Brief Plan for Combatting the Unauthorized Distribution of Copyrighted Material by Users of UIS Network The Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA) is a reauthorization of the Higher Education Act. It includes provisions that are designed to reduce the illegal uploading and downloading of copyrighted works through peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing. Disbursement Process — Receiving Your Aid Disbursement Process When Will I Receive My Financial Aid? Financial aid is disbursed to your student account no earlier than 10 days prior to the start of the semester if your file is complete as explained below. Prior Learning Assessment Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) currently resides in the Internships and Prior Learning (IPL) Department, part of the Office of Engaged Learning. The Prior Learning Assessment program, part of the Office of Internships and Prior Learning, provides students the opportunity to earn academic credit in recognition of their life-long learning experiences.
