Future Plans: Become a criminal profiler
At the University of Illinois Springfield, Alexa Redd is president of the Women of Color Initiative and a member of the Necessary Steps Mentoring Program and the National Society of Leadership and Success. She also is a student worker at the UIS Diversity Center. “When it comes to what I like the most about UIS, I adore how small the class sizes are,” she said. “You really get the chance to connect with and understand your professors and peers.” Following graduation from UIS, Redd hopes to work as a criminal profiler and apply what she’s learned at UIS toward philanthropy and activist work. She also plans to further her education with the goal of earning a doctorate degree.
Leadership is lived at UIS. Every Day.
