Building a Badging System for Student Success

How exactly do skill badges help students reach career success? It turns out there's more than one right answer! Florida Gulf Coast University is implementing a system of badge types that serve three distinct purposes: industry specific badges are a bridge between the degree and a particular workplace, transferable skill badges help students harness general skills for career purposes, and Skills Academy badges offer re-skilling and up-skilling opportunities to alumni and the community. Learn about FGCU's approach from two leaders of its badging program.
