The Biology Program within the School of Integrated Sciences, Sustainability, and Public Health at the University of IL Springfield, located in a mid-sized metro area, is seeking full-time Assistant Professor to assist the department with the following responsibilities: Under direction & supervision, teach university level courses in microbiology, biology, biochemistry and/or genetics, as well as upper level & undergraduate courses in the specialty of the candidate. Involve undergraduate students in their research program(s), & advise & provide research opportunities for preprofessional students (e.g. pre-med, pre-vet, pre-dental). Provide support to the delivery of a pre-med concentration.  Other University service and duties as applicable. This position minimally requires a PhD degree or its foreign equivalent in Biology, Microbiology, or a related discipline.
