The University of Illinois Springfield College of Business and Management has awarded nearly $4,000 in prizes to local high school students who competed in a virtual stock trading competition. Spearheaded by UIS Assistant Professors of Finance Serkan Karadas and Tammy Schlosky, the competition included more than 80 students.

The University of Illinois Springfield honored longtime NPR Illinois (WUIS) donors and volunteers Richard and Hannah McDaniel with the University of Illinois Foundation’s William E. Winter Award for Outstanding Advocate Leadership during a Celebration of Philanthropy event on May 1 in the Student Union Ballroom.

On April 19, 2024, the U.S. Department of Education issued new Title IX regulations. At UIS, the Access & Equity Office (“AEO”) coordinates the implementation of human and civil rights laws, including Title IX. As your Title IX Coordinator, I am reaching out today to outline what our next steps will be in response to these regulations, as well as to assure you of our ongoing commitment to fostering an environment free from all forms of sexual violence, harassment, and discrimination.

The University of Illinois Springfield held a faculty honors reception on April 29, 2024. Chancellor Janet Gooch and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Provost Brandon Schwab presided over the ceremony.
