Email Rate Limiting for Employees

As part of our ongoing security effort to protect users, an email rate limiting policy will go into effect February 28 for all employees. The purpose of this policy is to prevent compromised accounts from sending mass emails to other users that might put additional accounts at risk. Starting February 28, if an employee mailbox attempts to send more than 1000 emails per hour or 10,000 emails per day, the account will be locked for 24 hours while we investigate. |

Amanda Roberts has been named the University of Illinois Springfield Employee of the Month for February 2024. She is an interlibrary loan specialist at UIS Brookens Library. Her supervisor, Robin Mize, said she is an exceptional employee and that she is always friendly with both colleagues and patrons. |
