We are pleased to announce our new Promising Prairie Star Recognition Program! The Promising Prairie Star Recognition Program honors outstanding graduates under the age of forty or those who have graduated within the previous 5 years. Honorees are selected for their emerging and unique innovation, creativity and success in their chosen career and/or life's work. Established by the UIS Young Alumni Committee in 2024, the inaugural class of honorees will be selected and recognized in the Spring of 2025. |
Prairie Stars Travel to Hammond, Indiana to Compete in Midwest Regional Crossover

The UIS volleyball team is set for a busy weekend as they travel to Hammond, Indiana, to compete in the annual Midwest Regional Crossover. The Prairie Stars will face Ohio Dominican and Purdue Northwest on Friday, with matches at 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. UIS will finish the tournament on Saturday with a match against Cedarville at 11:30 a.m. The event features 38 NCAA Division II teams from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC), Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC), and Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC). |
