The University of Illinois Springfield’s popular star parties are returning as virtual events this spring and summer. The Astronomy-Physics Program is planning six virtual star parties at 7 p.m. March 12, 8 p.m. April 9, 8:30 p.m. May 14, June 11 and Aug. 12 and 9 p.m. July 9. |

University of Illinois Springfield students earned awards and were elected to leadership roles during the virtual Model Illinois Government (MIG) simulation held Feb. 26 & 27, 2021. The simulation, which normally takes place at the Illinois State Capitol, was held virtually this year due to COVID-19. |

The University of Illinois Springfield’s Theatre Program is proving that the show must go on, even during a pandemic, by live streaming six performances of John Patrick Shanley’s “Rogues’ Gallery” for free online. Live streamed performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 6, 7, 12, 13 & 14 and 2 p.m. Nov. 8. |
